Mike Kasper
Lead Instructor & Training Counselor — Mid-Michigan
Mike possesses extensive training credentials including NRA Personal Protection Instructor certification and USCCA Instructor & Training Counselor designation. He trains armed citizens across Mid-Michigan and certifies other instructors.
As a "MAG-40" graduate, he studied civilian self-defense rules of engagement under Massad Ayoob. He has also completed Andrew Branca's Law of Self Defense course.
His background enhances the organization's course offerings in both the firearms, as well as legal use of force categories.

Doug Young
Instructor & Competition Shooter — Mid-Michigan
Doug served as a combat veteran in Operation Desert Storm and is a sponsored competition shooter in Multi-gun, IDPA, and USPSA. He holds NRA and USCCA firearms instructor certifications plus Emergency First Aid instructor credentials.
As team captain for his shooting team competing nationally, he also instructs combat pistol through Saginaw Valley Survival.
Doug always goes the extra mile to ensure students get the most out of their training.
